Leaks in your water main system are always easier to find when the pipes are under pressure. Inspections that take place with your lines pressurized make it easier to locate problem areas and give you a better idea of what's happening while water is running through the system. Our new JD7 technology combines acoustic, CCTV and NDT assessment of your water mains while they're under pressure. This means you don't need to shut down your system and receive complaints from unhappy customers. Because we're able to provide this as a service with our own technicians, you don't have to worry about extensive training or purchasing expensive equipment. Your crew can simply go on to the next project on the list while we take care of finding your problem areas.

We are able to provide this service in all our Team EJP locations across the Northeast and Midwest. Early tests in the area have included a range of different solutions for our customer base. We've helped our clients find stubborn leaks that nobody was otherwise able to find using the combined inputs from the camera and hydrophone. Using the JD7 system, pipe inspection has been much improved, allowing water utilities to see exactly how and where pipes have tuberculation, making it easier to determine where the lines need to be cleaned up or replaced to restore full water flow to that area. When our customers have had valves that were malfunctioning or even undocumented, we were able to provide them with a clear picture of the exact location of those valves, making maintenance, replacement and repair go much more smoothly.

At Team EJP, we've invested in a new technology that allows us to more quickly find your leaks and blockages. The JD7 Investigator is an inspection camera that can be used on pressurized water lines 3" or larger in diameter. Access is provided through a 2" or larger fittings, valves and similar access points. It deals well with pressures up to 232 PSI. Using cameras and hydrophone sensors, the tri-sensor head can reach out as much as 300 feet to find the location of blockages or leaks. However, the length that can be used in the pipe will depend on pipe diameter, the internal condition of the pipe, how many bends and the flow that will be need to navigate and reach the problem area.

By using Team EJP's JD7 locator service, you can find those bothersome problem areas in your water mains without the guesswork, new tool investment or training. Our highly-trained team is ready to help you get a handle on your leaks or blockages quickly and effectively. Ready to give it a try? Please feel free to contact us today to get connected with one of our experienced technicians and make your problem areas a thing of the past.
