It is not every year that the biggest waterworks trade show in the United States and Canada comes to Boston. It has actually been over 40 years since the American Water Works Association has brought the ACE show to one of America's oldest cities. On such a momentous occasion Team EJP made the decision to show up big, and give everyone around us the chance to experience the event of the year!
The biggest day of the show was on Monday when we brought in 4-chartered buses full of Team EJP customers and employees. It was amazing to see members of rural communities experience an event that they would have normally not have had the opportunity to attend. Our passport program ensured that all of our guests were able to visit with some of our vendors on the floor. The day was captured through photos with the statue that stood as the centerpiece of our display.
Monday night we invited a few of our vendors, customers, and close friends to enjoy a cruise around the Boston harbor for dinner. Memories were made throughout dinner, dancing, and drinks and as we pulled back into port the sunset over the Boston skyline, creating the perfect ending to an amazing day.
The fun continued through Wednesday as Team EJP's customer-Lima Ohio Tapping Crew went to work in the Tapping Contest. The AWWA is not just about the show; it is also about the content. Guest speakers came in from around the world to host seminars including one hosted by Team EJP's Pete Hanrahan.
The icing on the cake was handed to Team EJP Monday night when we received the Best of Show Award. This award was given to our team for our efforts to not only have the most impressive and personable booth on the floor, but also for how impressive our community of employees, vendors, customers, and friends and family are.
