Leak Locating: Leak location is actually a series of small line acceptance tests. Two inflatable balls are connected by a 22' cable and hose. These balls are then pulled through the line in increments of 20 feet. An air test is run each time the balls are stopped. When a section fails, the balls are jockeyed back and forth until the leak is pinpointed. A counter on the cable reel indicates the location of a leak to within two feet.
