Geotextiles & Erosion Control Products

Construction Fabric

A constant challenge for contractors is trench excavation; remove a shovel-full of dirt and sidewalls cave into the void. Then there is the problem of encountered water, a soft element that often presents hard problems. The contractor must contend with trying to separate water from soils to prevent erosion.

Construction fabrics have done a great deal to lessen the effects of shifting dirt and moving water. Woven fabrics have made stabilization possible using special designs to separate materials from each other. Their ability has fostered broader applications in road and parking lot construction, embankment stabilization and riprap placement, making the job easier and more cost effective. There is even lighter woven fabric for silt fencing which replaces baled hay. Non-woven fabrics can be used in similar applications but are principally used for filtration of underdrains, cushioning of pond liners, landfills and riprap.

We have seen the use of construction fabrics increase. Our customers want a reliable source for woven and non-woven fabrics. We will be that source, stocking ample supplies of these new and effective fabrics. Your representative is prepared to discuss their many uses in detail.
