Low impact development offers site designers, developers and contractors the tools needed to lessen the environmental impact of commercial and residential growth. At the same time, these tools and practices have resulted in land use practices that are attractive, functional and economical. Properly implemented, Low-Impact Development (LID) techniques can improve water quality, increase real estate values, and increase retention during and after heavy storm events.
Attendees will learn how to implement LID principles, practices and tools, including permeable paving, rain gardens, vegetative swales and clustered development.
Seminar Instructor
Pete Hanrahan, Erosion Control and Geoproduct Manager with Everett J. Prescott, Inc., possesses more than 30 years
experience in the construction products industry. He is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and has presented at national conferences for many organizations, including the International Erosion Control Association, the International Fabric Association and Land Improvement Contractors of America.
